The Robinsons [Calgary Wedding Photography]

Shawna and Kevin's wedding was bittersweet for us. On one hand, we've been looking forward to spending more time with them both - we've had a fantastic time getting to know them since we first met a few months back. On the other hand, this marks our last wedding of the year, so we're definitely quite sad about that!

Shawna works for a great advertising company in Calgary, and we were very flattered by her kind words about our photography when we first met. It was quite nerve-wracking to show off our portfolio to someone who deals with artists on a daily basis.

The ceremony took place at the Knox United Church, located right downtown. The church is almost a hundred years old, and has a beauty that is unique to heritage buildings. They take on a life of their own over the years, and it is fascinating to look at and to read about their place in history.

Family pictures and formals were taken at Lougheed House, another heritage building in Calgary. It is a very important part of Alberta's history - the Lougheed family played a prominent role in Alberta politics.

Finally, the reception was held at the The Ranche House in Fish Creek Park - our third heritage building of the day! The house was built in 1896 and was restored and converted into a beautiful restaurant in 1999.

Shawna and Kevin, Ashley and I are so lucky to have had the opportunity to get to know you both. We've appreciated the beers, the conversations, and even watching you training your puppy.

All the best to you in the years to come,

Mike

There is no greater wedding gift than to return from our Honeymoon to see the beautiful moments you saw--and captured--during our wedding day...

Mike and Ashley... we love you...You are true artists and we are lucky to see through your eyes to remember the best day of our lives (so far!)

these photos are great! I love the venues! I always say that but they are perfect for a November wedding. My fav is the shoes with the scuff marks on the bottom such a cool shot.

Mike and Ashley - you captured the essence of my girl and her wonderful man in these pictures. They are beautiful and I know that you two will always hold a special place in their hearts. Cheers, Mrs. of Honour.
